Issue 73. Reviewing (mostly) size-inclusive bikinis for summer!
I tried them on so you don't have to! Read on to see how these six Indie brands stacked up.
Happy Friday! The Color Showdown is still going strong - but I wanted to give you a reprieve from that email for the day. Head on over to my profile to see which colors made it into the final & vote on the WINNER. Our winning color & recipient of the giveaway will be announced on Sunday! (aka I’m leaving you alone tomorrow).

But sometimes we just need to know if something is worth ordering online!
I did the heavy-lifting and tried on a variety of two-piece bathing suits in-store and at home because I wanted a nice bikini to wear for my last summer in my 20s.
Below, my first impressions of Hunza G, YouSwim, Kitty & Vibe, Eloquii, Left on Friday and Staud as a mid-size shopper (36DD + 14/16 bottoms).
Hunza G // Juno Twist-Front Metallic Seersucker Bikini // $245 // XS-XXL
I’m not actually sure if you’d truly call this brand ‘size inclusive,’ but, their size-flexibility is certainly notable! I was curious if this brand would fit me at all, since I imagine I’m at the top-end of their purported range (XS-XXL), but it did!
Pros:
Nuanced color offerings beyond the standard black, hot pink, cobalt options many brands make.
Fabric felt premium and likely to hold up to wash and wear.
Cons:
Higher price tag compared to the other options (can be worth it!)
Did not have enough top coverage - I wasn’t expecting “support” with this style, but I was hoping my boobs would at least stay-in when I lifted my arms. Sigh!
Bottom Line: Hunza G offers good colors and luxe fabric, but the twist-front bikini is a bit skimpy if you have a larger chest. Fits up to XXL (US 16).
