So real on the fun, printed dresses! Instead of opening up my wardrobe, they leave me feeling stuck. I think knowing what you won’t spend money on is just as important as knowing what you will.

Love how well you know your own style! I love those marigold socks and agree that pink will look great, too. (Although, I also think red is great on everyone, but I looove a bit of Americana :) maybe try a red sock, too?? Especially under long denim, it will just be a little flash every once in a while like a robin in a tree). Also you’re a 1000% right re: viscose. It stains in a snap. (Steer clear for rugs, too. Despite how soft they may feel!)

Love a de-influencing post! I agree on the printed dresses.

Personally, I love how lace-up espadrilles look on others, so I've bought a few pairs over the years. But short legs + huge feet = unflattering every time, I always regret it!

A brightly patterned dress is also a no for me. It’s too memorable. But I love a bright patterned skirt. I can wear it with any top. Red is a favorite color of mine and one that really suits me. I avoid the Americana look though with every fiber of my being.

I feel as though learning not to get sucked into the spring fever was such a learning curve for me, and is now such a relief. I love how you can recognize what will truly serve you. Viscose can be so hit or miss that I try to completely avoid it now!

Yes!! I also might buy a dress for the summer, but not a mini dress nor a brightly patterned one. Gotta learn!
