I absolutely relate to this! My style leans very neutral, layered, and almost "hipster" in the winter but in the spring and summer I lean into colorful bohemian vibes. It's almost like taking a natural cue from the season itself!

I’ve always said I have 6 words - 3 for fall/winter and 3 for spring / summer. Love the way you broke it down via the 3rd word changing up each season, too!

My closet is swapped out every 6 months (I do September 30 to March 30), and I definitely have a lot of different colours for each six month period. Autumn/winter is grey, brown, orange, yellow, pink, teal, red, and summer is more white, aqua, pink, yellow, orange and green. Textiles are different for each season as well- I don’t wear much velvet or brocade in summer. Obviously I have a big overlap!💕😁

I love the idea of seasonal modifiers or lifestyle modifiers (like a workplace modifier, date night modifier, etc.)!! I’m so glad you are talking about how style words don’t have to be completely set in stone!

Wow I didn’t consider other lifestyle modifiers!! Good callout.

I’m a weirdo who prefers winter (most days) to summer, but I’ve never thought about this before. I’m going to give it a day and respond back when I’ve dug in… thanks for the thought provoking post!

I haven't thought of changing the words for the season, but my vibe changes a bit according to the season - some it comes from the nature of the fabrics I wear in each season. Breezy linen and flowy pants in summer and cozy cashmere and more structured bottoms in winter, which definitely changes the vibe. Need to reflect more on whether the words changes, or if I maybe should work with a fourth word as a modifier?
