Cutting to the chase: YES! I'll be shopping these moving forward...

I have high standards for the quality, cut, fabric and style of my clothing, which Indie brands excel at making.
And also, I want to prioritize shopping from size-inclusive brands. Full stop.
Today, I’m looking to see if I can find my favorite basics at a few brands my fellow writers including
and recommend. So next time I need a new t-shirt, I’ll start here first.Shop the round-up on my ShopMy page. These brands do not provide affiliate payouts, but let’s please still support them!
This is the third installment in a series looking for interesting garments available in extended sizes. Check out the first post, here, and the second, here.
What are we looking for?
High-quality basics: think cotton tanks, tees, great denim - anything I’d typically expect from brands like Everlane, Gap, or other oft-recommended brands.
Interesting silhouettes, natural fibers (machine washable).
Basically, things I’d actually want to buy—available in a wider range of sizes.
Below, my imperfect round-up of indie brands offering high-quality basics in a wider range of sizes than offered by most brands in the genre.
I can’t guarantee that anything here will fit you or fall within your budget, but I hope this guide can make you feel a little more visible in a world that caters towards smaller-bodies.
Nettle Studios
recommends this brand regularly, and their recent drop aligns more closely with my personal style, which really excited me. I surprised myself by being immediately drawn to this mini dress, a silhouette I haven’t been wearing recently. But the pale blue color and relaxed fit might help me feel a bit more youthful for this last summer of my 20s (lol). Plus, I unapologetically love periwinkle, so this sweatshirt caught my eye.Big Bud Press
In the past I’ve purchased my tees from Everlane or Jungmaven, but knowing that Big Bud press makes similar or even higher quality pieces, available at a similar price, and to way more people? Sign me up!!
Next time I need a new tank, I’ll try this racerback, or this scoopneck. Perfect for year-round layering. Or, this chic cropped turtleneck, gosh do I actually need this now…? If you’re a fan of the Flore Flore Esme, this is similar and is available up to a 6X! Or if you like Everlane’s box-cut tee? This tee comes in so many good colors! This brand is a new go-to for me!
Oddbird
Starting strong, I may simply need this caftan for the summer. Or this jumpsuit? Oh billy, I might need this coat too (in perfect neutral)? I joke…but… the mix between high quality, good fabrics, and interesting silhouettes strikes me as a real win. If I had unlimited funds, I may do some damage with this brand. Noted!
Noble
I’ve had my eye on this brand for quite a while, and even mentioned them in a spring de-influencing post here—Only because the piece I was eyeing might not suit my life today, and I prioritize versatility and wearability in everything I buy. But I must say, this mini-skort is truly adorable and the perwinkle is to die for. This matching shirt is also great. I will certainly keep tabs on their future launches!
Elizabeth Suzann
I’ve perhaps erroneously omitted this brand from earlier round-ups, I think in part because I don’t personally favor the batwing style sleeve they make (I find them uncomfortable). But! This linen skirt could be exactly what I was hoping to wear this summer. And when my linen long-sleeve shirts wear out, this mandarin-collar shirt looks like a great option.

This is so good. Thank you for sharing these brands with us.
I really appreciate these posts and am excited by the Big Bud tees especially. One size inclusive brand that I've been coveting is https://www.loragene.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorPEGWGiHsqJbkMa1_45k1Q4UNwsq1gYgAFzah-pAehPrCSNXL2. I think their clothes might resonate with your style. ❤️
